Doing Business in Cambodia

The Cambodian economy is characterized by accelerated growth in recent years. The fact that it is a developing country emphasizes the great business potential in it. The need for further development of infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, quarries etc. is actually a window of opportunities for Israeli firms.

In order to penetrate the Cambodian market, Israeli firms need a well-connected and knowledgeable consultant by their side.

However, it is important to remember that before a business venture is formed, much time and energy is invested in mutual exploration between the Israeli and the Cambodian firms. Israeli firms, which are interested in doing business in Cambodia, must invest a certain portion of the project's budget in "courtship" which includes visiting Cambodia, inviting Cambodian representative to Israel and so forth. This process requires sensitivity and understanding of the cultural gaps and is done best when accompanied with guidance on the Cambodian behavioral norms. Mistakes stemming from misunderstandings may lead to disappointment on the Cambodian side, and might cause the termination of the relationship. It is Important to remember this process often takes a relatively long time and requires a lot of patience from the Israeli firm.

It is also important to remember that political and business relationships in Cambodia are crucial to the execution and realization of business plans. Oshman Consulting and Business Development led by Benjamin (Benny) Oshman provide solutions to all of these challenges.

Thanks to Oshman's vast connections and knowledge, he is experienced in locating the right partners to fit the needs of both Israeli and Cambodian firms, and supporting the business process while overcoming cultural and structural differences. Moreover, Oshman Consulting and Business Development provides creative and effective consultancy to help Israeli firms realize the potential of doing business in Cambodia.
